What is USG of Swelling?
A targeted ultrasound examination of any palpable lump, bump, or swelling to determine its nature (cystic, solid, or mixed), size, vascularity, and relationship to surrounding structures.
Characterization
Differentiates cystic, solid, mixed, or complex masses. Identifies calcifications, septations, and vascularity.
Localization
Determines exact anatomical location, depth, and involvement of muscles, tendons, vessels, or nerves.
Vascular Assessment
Colour Doppler evaluates blood flow, helping distinguish inflammatory, infectious, and vascular lesions.

Targeted Ultrasound
High-frequency probe evaluates the lesion in multiple planes. Measurements taken. Colour Doppler assesses vascularity. Relationship to adjacent structures documented.
Report & Next Steps
Descriptive report with measurements, echotexture, vascularity, and recommendation for follow-up, biopsy, or surgical referral.
How to Prepare
