USG Breast (Breast Ultrasound) in Bihar
High-resolution breast imaging at JP Diagnostic for lump characterization, cyst detection, and cancer screening — available across Patna, Gaya & Muzaffarpur.
What is a Breast Ultrasound?
A non-invasive imaging test using high-frequency sound waves to evaluate breast tissue, distinguishing solid masses from fluid-filled cysts, and guiding further management.
Lump Characterization
Differentiates between benign cysts, fibroadenomas, and suspicious solid masses requiring biopsy.
Dense Breast Tissue
Essential adjunct to mammography in women with dense breasts where mammogram sensitivity is reduced.
Guided Procedures
Used for ultrasound-guided FNAC, core biopsy, and cyst aspiration with real-time precision.

The Procedure
Total time: 15 to 30 minutes. No radiation, no needles unless intervention is planned.
Check-in & History
Bring previous mammogram, ultrasound, or biopsy reports. Our radiologist reviews symptoms, family history, and prior imaging before the scan.
Ultrasound Examination
You lie on your back with the arm raised. Warm gel is applied. The radiologist systematically scans all quadrants of both breasts, the nipple-areolar complex, and axillary tail. Doppler assesses vascularity if needed.
Report & Next Steps
Images are classified using BI-RADS. You receive a detailed report with recommendations for follow-up, biopsy, or routine screening.

- No known side effects
- Can be repeated as often as needed
- May miss microcalcifications (mammography better)
